This year felt like a patchwork quilt of love. Through my Kansas City wedding photography, I watched stories unfold that were stitched together with tender vows, loud laughter, soaked-through rainstorms, pizza-date pit stops, unexpected sunshine, and quiet moments where partners held each other with the kind of softness that makes time slow down.
When I look back at my 2025 season photographing Kansas City weddings, I don’t just see weddings or sessions… I see the heartbeat of so many beautifully real stories. Nearlyweds stepping into forever. Families welcoming new little humans. Couples choosing each other again and again, in the big moments and the small ones. It’s been emotional, joy-soaked, wonderfully wild, and endlessly meaningful.
I’m closing out this year feeling wildly grateful! For every couple who trusted me with their memories, every family who let me witness another chapter, every celebration that felt like stepping into a world uniquely your own. You invited me into moments that were intimate and cinematic, imperfect in the most beautiful ways, and filled with that unmistakable spark that happens when love is fully, joyfully lived out loud.
As I sift through the galleries from the past twelve months, one thing becomes crystal clear: these aren’t just photographs. They’re living keepsakes of connection, and being the one to preserve them will forever be one of the greatest honors of my life.
We began the year with the most romantic kind of surprise as Michael dropped to one knee on a Plaza bridge. Below-zero temperatures and all, he asked Caroline to marry him. Bundled up, breath visible in the air, and hearts completely full, it was a breathtaking reminder that love shows up bravely, no matter the weather.
I kicked off 2025 with fresh snow and the sweetest kind of joy as Alexa & Blake danced through Burr Oak Woods, fully embracing a winter engagement session. Disney lovers to their core, their excitement and warmth made even the cold feel magical.
Before their colorful wedding week, Shrushti & Sunny braved slick forest floors and snow for their Kansas City engagement session. Laughing their way through every icy step. This session was full of “belly to belly” bumps and endless giggles. It was the perfect glimpse into the joy they carry everywhere they go.
Before the WEDKC Gala, Nida & Chris stepped in front of my camera looking absolutely radiant. Joined by two dogs and one very cooperative cat! Photographing a fellow wedding vendor and her love, surrounded by the family they’ve built together, felt equal parts elegant and deeply personal.
Jill & Travis’ Valentine’s Day wedding felt like opening a love letter, surrounded by friends, family, and a whole cheering section live-streaming from Australia. Their day was tender, joyful, and overflowing with the kind of emotion that stays with you.
Hopping on a plane mid-February was truly a surprising start to the year. But when it’s your old stomping grounds, and there’s a film photography conference hosted there, you jump at the opportunity. The amount of growth I experienced on this trip was the best way to start the year. The thing I’m most thankful for though? Connecting with some of my most treasured fellow photographers here in Kansas City. We roomed together, had nightly dinners, and lifted one another up. That magic started here, but continued throughout the year.
Mr. & Mrs. McAlister’s intimate Brim wedding was soft, simple, and beautifully full of love. Their wedding was the kind of day where you can feel the meaning in every quiet glance. With just their closest people beside them, their ceremony felt like an invitation into their world.
Wandering through downtown Harrisonville with Makayla & Matthew felt like exploring the tiny corners of a place that holds their future. Sweet, relaxed, and full of small-town charm. Their 2026 wedding is already shaping up to be a celebration that feels rooted in home.
We wandered downtown, shared fries from Town Topic, and soaked in early spring light while Katelin and Tom laughed their way through the session. Their love is gentle, playful, and full of effortless warmth. This couple is very dear to my heart, and their wedding at The Historic Longview Mansion has been something I’ve looked forward to since I first met Katelin.
Being part of Elizabeth & Brian’s wedding felt like watching a best friend step into the happiest chapter of their life. Photographing their love story through the years made their celebration even more meaningful, and the amount of tears I cried this day could fill a bucket.
From singing “Going to the Chapel” to dancing through the rain, Bri and her partner brought pure joy to their wedding at The Stanley. Their day was equal parts heartfelt, delicious (hello, Pizza Tascio!), and wildly fun.
Josh & Maggie chose intimacy above all else, exchanging vows in two deeply meaningful ceremonies shared only with parents and siblings. Quiet, emotional, and sacred, their wedding days were a beautiful reminder that marriage begins long before the party. I cannot wait to celebrate with their family and friends for their 2026 reception!

Lyndsey and Sydney lit up the museum in matching black dresses, their joy radiating through every frame. From giggles to deep conversation, the whole evening felt like photographing two souls who simply fit.
In the darkest bar in Kansas City, we created modern, cinematic images full of movement, bold shadows, and jazz-lounge charm. They trusted the process completely, and the result felt electric.
Nena and Devin’s wedding week was this beautiful fusion of cultures, color, and pure aliveness. Surrounded by family and friends who celebrated them with so much warmth, it felt like stepping into a living tapestry of love. Both are so deeply passionate about helping others, they (and their entire families) welcomed me in as one of their own, making every moment feel deeply meaningful and joyfully unforgettable.
Michael & Danielle’s wedding at The Lincoln was tender, joyful, and deeply rooted in everything they are. Two people who’ve carried each other through life’s hardest seasons and still choose love with open hands. Their day felt like a quiet testament to resilience, connection, and the beauty of beginning again.

A collapsed tent and thunder gave way to sunshine, vows on a quiet bridge, and a celebration that felt like a fairytale. Kirsten and Cooper’s wedding day may not have started off as they thought, but their energy and love lit up the day and brought the sunshine out.
Cali & Dom’s wedding was this beautiful blend of anticipation, laughter, and full-body joy. Kansas City weddings spent at The Hawthorne House always hit in a unique and unforgettable way. Quiet balcony moments, tangled dog leashes, emotional vows, and a reception where the whole room seemed to vibrate with love. Their day wasn’t about perfection; it was about feeling every emotion fully, and that’s what made it unforgettable.
This bachelorette-inspired editorial was pure, iconic chaos. Champagne, coordinated PJs, cake in all the wrong places, and the best kind of rule-breaking energy. Proof that the most unforgettable moments happen when you let your people fully be themselves. The incredible team who helped create this, and our amazing models who were down to party – THANK YOU.
This year’s family and newborn sessions were a reminder of just how quickly life shifts. Little hands growing bigger, sleepy newborn snuggles turning into toddler giggles, and families settling deeper into the love they’ve built. Whether we captured full faces or just tiny details, each session felt like a gentle pause in the middle of busy, beautiful lives.
I don’t photograph many birthday parties, but when a dear friend and wedding planner asked me to document such a meaningful moment in her family’s life, there was no hesitation. Reagan poured so much heart into planning this mermaid-themed celebration, creating a day filled with wonder, joy, and memories her daughter will carry forever.
Watching Aarti & Sahil’s family grow has been one of the great joys of my career, and celebrating their little one’s first birthday felt like the sweetest full-circle moment. From weddings to newborn snuggles to a Harry Potter-inspired celebration, their love story just keeps adding chapters.
Our styled shoot at Union felt like stepping into a dream where elegance and wildness intertwined. Greenery climbing brick walls, florals spilling with intention, every detail humming with quiet artistry. It was one of those rare days where time seemed to slow down just enough for creativity to breathe, reminding me that when artists pause, connect, and create with heart, the magic becomes something you can actually feel.
Maria & Jake’s Maverick wedding was a perfect mix of elegance, joy, and one very determined toddler who stole the show with aisle sprints and vow-book interruptions. Their day was a celebration of family, laughter, and a love that’s only just getting started.

Zobia & Zaver’s wedding week was a vibrant, joy-soaked fusion of celebration. Mehndi, pithi, sangeet, vows, blessings, and dance floors overflowing with love. Their families wrapped every moment in warmth and tradition, creating a celebration that felt both deeply rooted and wildly alive. And this couple came to SLAY each and every moment.
From a flower-filled proposal to a rain-kissed engagement and finally a luminous summer wedding. Rachel & Chance’s love story has been a true joy to document. Their Countryside Chalet celebration was heartfelt, personal, and delightfully them, including the iconic appearance of Pokémon cards.
Mr. & Mrs. Karr’s wedding day was filled with the softest, cleanest light, church pews glowing, The Monarch Room shining, and a rooftop champagne pop that felt like pure end-of-summer magic. With fall colors just beginning to whisper their way in, their celebration unfolded with warmth, joy, and the sweetest hint of a new season beginning.
For Emma & Scout, walking through The Legacy at Green Hills before their wedding felt like stepping into their future. Boots kicking, eyes sparkling, and hearts full. High school sweethearts turned nurse and firefighter, their love is as grounded as it is sweet, and October 2026 can’t come soon enough.
Traveling to Chicago to photograph Harneet & Haarish felt like being welcomed into a love story already in motion. Windy, glowy, joy-filled, and finding our way into a speakeasy, their engagement session was fully them. From meeting Harneet earlier in the year as a bridesmaid to now documenting her own chapter, this full-circle moment is one I’m endlessly grateful to be part of.
Golden grass, cool air, and a very good dog made Megan & Ryan’s Shawnee Mission Park session feel quietly magical. Engagement sessions are a rehearsal for presence, and these two made it look effortless. I can’t wait for their White Iron Ridge celebration next year!
From our very first consult, I knew Katie & Nate’s wedding would be something special. Any couple who plans their cocktail hour around a thoughtfully curated Spotify playlist has my heart. Their fall engagement session was wrapped in golden foliage and effortless connection.
Shrushti & Sunny’s wedding week was alive with color, laughter, and the kind of love that wraps you up completely. From playful family traditions and an unforgettable baraat to the quiet tenderness of Sunny’s piano surprise just for her. Every moment felt deeply lived-in, joyfully shared, and unmistakably theirs.
Katelin & Tom’s winter wedding proved that even the coldest days can feel incredibly warm. A quiet, emotional morning, tear-filled vows, and a ceremony that became even more intimate when brought indoors. Surrounded by people who love them fiercely, their day unfolded with deep connection, joyful celebration, and the coziest kind of magic.
I ended 2025 documenting the sweetest surprise. Ryan told Taylor they were headed to a comedy show, only to stop at his parents’ house “to open a few gifts”. When they arrived, he led her to the Christmas tree, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. Watching her say yes, surrounded by twinkling lights and the kind of love that feels generations deep, was the most beautiful way to close the year.
2025 reminded me that the most powerful stories aren’t forced, they’re felt. The best photos came from slowing down, paying attention, and allowing moments to unfold exactly as they were meant to. Love showed up in quiet ways this year: in steady hands during nervous moments, in laughter breaking through tears, in families holding space for one another. As a Kansas City wedding photographer, this year deepened my belief that storytelling isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s truly about honoring truth, presence, and connection.
I was reminded again and again that photography is less about what’s happening in front of the camera and more about how it feels to be there. When couples trusted me to simply witness their day, the result was imagery that felt alive. Honest, emotional, and deeply personal. That’s the kind of storytelling I want to keep creating: images that don’t just show what a wedding looked like, but what it felt like to live inside it.
As this year comes to a close, I keep coming back to the same truth: love is never about perfection, it’s about presence. Whether it was a quiet glance across a room, a family wrapped tightly together, or a dance floor alive with joy, every story I photographed this year carried its own kind of magic. Being trusted to preserve these moments through my Kansas City wedding photography is something I’ll never take lightly.
Thank you for welcoming me into your lives, your families, and your most meaningful days. These images are more than memories; they’re reminders of who you were, how it felt, and the love that surrounded you in that season. I’m endlessly grateful for every story I got to witness, and I can’t wait to continue documenting love, connection, and the beautifully in-between moments that matter most.
